At what temp should cooling fans start? (1/9)

I've got a -94 Conv LT1. At highway the temp is more or less 90-95 C (194-203 F). When at idle, or in town, it sack arise to over 110 C (230 F). The primary lover kicks in at 108 C (~226 F). Is that normal? At what temp should secondary fan start?

Altogether mean. I have an 88, and the fans on mine set in at the same temp as you. 108 C. Every bit for the secondary, I'm non sure; mine has never came connected, but from what I say this besides is normal. Seems very hot to me Eastern Samoa well, but this is the means these cars were designed.

At that place is shipway to deepen this, but I will leave that to the unitary with experience in doing and then.

Yes, so I've heard... My job is that only one of the temperature reduction fans is working, the nigh one, and that the temp gets high. Also the Actinium is not running. I went to a local US car workshop today. Helium successful a straightaway test and said the AC needed refilling. Atomic number 2 also said the reson the right hand devotee (behind the Alternating current condenser) doesn't work power be that the AC gas even out is to deep. Can that constitute castigate..? On wednesday I'll fill again the AC then we'll see...

Real normal. If the A/C is running, the locomotive temperature runs cooler b/c the fan/fans pass over perpetually.

What you describe is regular.  The secondary fan comes happening at 235 deg F, and is

non

locked out by low AC refrigerant pressure level.

Problem solved! I had the AC filled up yesterday and locomotive engine temporary is now OK, more or less 92C/200F when driving and 95C/203F when frivolous. Left fan is immediately working when the ac is on. Now I sleep equal a baby... :-)

I'm driving a 1990 in south Florida and was concerned that just one fan was connected most of the metre. The second rooter is controlled aside a pressure turn on the freon line to the A/C coil. I simply unplugged the connector to the pressure switch and both fans hunt down whenever the engine is running.

Has anyone put a 180 grade thermostat in ? I did this connected my 454 Vortec Dually. Varied O2 sensors. Temporary worker W/ AC in South Florida in summer ne'er goes above 200 F.   Besides, would the 180 thermo preclude the second fan from operating? Corvette america hasa a switch where you can computer programme what temporary worker. for second fan.
